In the last 50 years, I have seen that India is getting the recognition it deserves. Look at our software engineers, doctors, businessmen. Each one of them just being himself or herself in USA and other foreign countries brings awareness of India in the minds of these people.

Baloney! India will get the recognition it deserves only when it sets its own house in order. Professionals from India get recognition in the USA the same way as professionals from anywhere get recognition in the USA, because the US is the closest to a meritocracy you will find anywhere on earth.

People in the US are more likely to regard India as oppressive and wretched. Otherwise, why would so many engineers, doctors and entrepreneurs desert a country in hordes -- a country where so much needs to be done?

Missive extemporaneous.

JPR:

Thanks for your input much obliged. Though my comments were a collection of generalizations the main intent was to provoke and besides there is an element of truth to many of the things in the list, Westerners or Western Judaio-Christian thoughts did not enter my mind when I wrote the response as it was something I wrote on the fly or a 'missive extempore' if you will please.
