You have a point. I do object to bulls who even try to justify the stock price on the fundamentals. Think about the newbie investors who might think there is some solid reason to buy the stock based on fundamentals? They may not know right off the degree of speculation that is driving the movement.

To keep things straight, you are right, as I have posted before, Amazon.com may well move up on further speculation before investors are forced by maturing events to focus more on the actual business realities. The company can be expected to announce some acquisitions and business alliances and their own new product introductions. The market may not depend on a reasonable analysis of these events, new money may be drawn into the stock and the price may rise further. Amazon.com's stock price has had many experts shaking their heads for months.

I would also venture to say that the stock will come down in price and short sellers will eventually make a killing from speculative investors folly. Saying exactly when that will happen would be equally as rediculous.
