Hi Dave! I agree tht GE has developed the amrketplace but that is great news for Fonar because this early going is the hard-to-do R&D tht is needed to make it palatable for doctors to think about actually using. Many millions has been spent by GE to get their systems going and now it appears tht they are selling a few. From a conservative hospital admin view, it's too early to get into it. But demand will grow as applications are proved. We are only in the earlys tage of that. Fonar could not be in a better position to take advantage of this from a design standpoint. Implementation is a whole nother story. As for fram rates, taht line is bit of an exaggeration, one slice per minute to one slice per second was overcome about 5 years ago. The real trick is not in acquiring but in reconstructing the 256 x256 byte image. Powerful procesors are needed here. For REAL xray angio we use up to 30 1024 x 1024 images per second! Gittiapp now fonar!

Dave I just spoke with a personal friend of mine who is in a position to get the information you requested if possible. He will have a personal incentive to help because I got him in Fonar (a little above the current price I might add). He reads this thread and just called me because of your post, so I didn't even have to go seeking ;^) That is VERY Interesting Dave, BTW you post just what you please that is what these threads are for. What you posted IS relevant to Fonar's business, so why shouldn't that be posted if you wanted to glean others input on the subject. Old Miss is only 50 miles due south of my home..My friend said he will be going there this weekend..I'll let you know what he learns. He has told me he loves this thread and gets a big kick out of it, of course he and I grew up together and he REALLY KNOWS ME :^) which is one reason he has had so much fun reading it...Unlike me, he's educated and not an idiot ;^) Over the course of the last few days I have learned several interesting things which are believed to be coming. Like you stated, I risk even that comment drawing fire but I don't give a FLIP. I'll post what I want to, be it public or PRIVATE, MY CHOICE. So PUBLICLY I'll go NO Further than to say I'm STILL An IDIOT but I happen to believe that an INFORMED IDIOT is better than JUST A PLAN IDIOT ;^) In the past, WHO has contributed to this thread?
