My sentiments exactly. PAL: I am withya, why give away positive news when the stock is performing well own its own.Keep the trump card close your vest and dish'em out one at a time this will give more momentum to the stock for a longer period of time. I wouldn't even mind if Dell refrain from announcing any split on Aug.18th assuming we have a blow out earnings and announce the split at a later date.I believe this will be good for the overall performance of the stock for a prolonged period of time.

*correct me if im wrong* in the last few days the stock has had a tremendous run up due to the expectations of this meeting. so what is driving the stock up today? it cant be the meeting since that has already been acccounted for. however, those who say a correction is in order dont make sense since we just had one a month or so ago. what is driving this stock up? oh yes, is a split going to be announced today, and what is the difference between "authorising $3bil shares" and announcing a stock split. isnt it the same. adieu for now. z

Wait for the Press Release RE: Shareholder meeting to find out if a SPLIT will occur. It usually is not announced at the Shareholder meeting, but is done via a press release following the share holder meeting.. Only time will tell.....
