Almost from day one I said that AMZN would be forced into vertical integration. This often happens when the margins are low and the competition is fierce.

Also, AMZN is not very different from QVC or L.L.Bean. If you want rough estimates of their potential market, those should give them to you. There's nothing particularly revolutionary about ordering something from a web page instead of a printed catalogue.

I consider some of the business models and assumptions of these companies
are seriously flawed and motivated by the parties that will benefit most - the venture
capitalists and large stockholders. Once some of the glimmer wears thin, Amazon will
come down.

That sums up my premise completely.

RS<Once some of the glimmer wears thin,>
May I correct you. Once the glimmer or glamor of a concept wears thin ,we should see a correction.
The last time America had a concept, it was the hula-hoop.
America believed it would just keep going & going.
When I went to engineering school, I was so infatuated with ~, that I spent too long, trying to invent perpetual motion.
Would you believe that even to this day, some con-men are still trying to sell it?
