What Did GTE Lose - Show Me Proof

<<<Did you happen to call GTE? They fought Source Media too over these patents. Guess what? They lost too!!!! >>>

Perhaps you could cite where it shows exactly what GTE lost?

From all I have read on this settlement it looked like SRCM was eager to settle because they did not want to litigate and they did not want to risk losing the challenge.

Furthermore, the issue was a technology that is a world apart from internet service. IMO SRCM's patents CLEARLY DO NOT restrict anyone from providing cable internet access. CLEARLY.

From what I understand, GTE did not "lose" anything on the settlement - GTE looks like they made out like a bandit on the deal - read the 10K. Feel free to correct me with some hard facts.

Feel free to cite specifically what GTE lost... That is if you know. Otherwise maybe you shouldnt be making this claim.

Cheers Steve

#1 I have spoken to Veanna, nice lady too and what she was able to say was that although the patents help to form the basis of their technology it is their NEW-software which pushes the technology, this was what was learned from the Colorado trials and according to them that although the trials were discontinued they were A great success
because they led to the current innovations which the world is after.
some have posted here that the patents are old and indeed they are and yes the basic work was done by R+D @ JCP, what has been Added by SRCM
is again the driving factor. i refer you all to these links for just a bit of backdrop: Please Note it is the New Software that drives the Virtual Modem>>>

Please Note that in 1996 Source has already SUCCESSFULLY DEFENDED
their Patents against infringement... I'll be speaking with Mr. John Reed next week... I bought today @ 25-3/8 so, you see I have a position in this issue therefore i am biased.
