Amzn shorts don't get burned, they just die! If this company is going to manage their inventory like i think they are, then their will be much more dead bear meat around here soon. Let's see, i've seen two crops of shorts on this thread and now this is the third. I suppose Glenn will be here till the end though, but i don't mind Glenn just wish he was on the bullish side at times. Go ahead shorts, short the fu-k out this little diamond and make me richer! Oh, Tom i like that part about "pictures of pigs". Can't understand why these Amzn bears think they're so smart and cute with all their money, the money they're making shorting Amzn... yeah right! Mark, I did make a long play once early this week or maybe it is late last week. I was long AMZN for 2 hours:-) Anyhow, that position made money. The short side made money a few times but the last week was a financial loss regarding AMZN in total. It is clear that I cannot understand your opinion on this stock. I have no problem with you being bullish nor Tom D and anyone else. A market is made by having different opinions.I know enough to hedge my position so I will be here until either I gain my losses back when reality sets in and possible turn a profit on this stock or I am proven wrong by having AMZN actually turn a profit. This may take years and the effort put forward for the return or loss of money is certainly not worth it. I am past thinking that a few months ago I believe. I any case, this will be a lesson for me. Can I hedge and day trade well enough to stay in the short game? Chances are; yes! Trading experience helps there although flipping a coin on the direction of this stock at times, might be more accurate for me. The other point, which I want to prove to myself, is that this really is a scam and I want to say "glenn you were correct." I will be here a long time. I appreciate all the bullish comments too. I do occasionally resent it when someone makes the statement to me that my opinion is "sour grapes." I am aware that was not you, Tom or jawd. With that in mind, time will march on and we will find how well AMZN makes out in the long run. Once I am done with this stock, my shorting days are over<G> I am a much better long investor and in particular, writing naked puts. My hope at this point is three fold. I want you, Tom and other bulls that are investors to make their money and take their profits on this stock when they see fit. I want the remaining bears to make a profit or at least recoup their losses when/if the tide turns and a down spiral occurs. The longs need to be out then but I have faith in the longs on this thread having sence to move in time. We are certainly not talking about uneducated people on either side. Finally, if I am proved correct that this is a scam, I would like the authorities to hang Bezos and gang out to dry with enough fines to keep this from being profitable. The last is not likely since Bezos has every risk possible listed in all the filings. We would need cooked books for a fine to be significant but I doubt Bezos is a thief. I do not believe that. I do believe he is aware this company will not survive over the long term although his intention was to have it survive during its inception. Enough said! Glenn
