Here's All You'll Need Windows 95 or Windows NT Pentium processor (75 MHz minimum) with a minimum of 16 MB RAM (32 recommended) Basic knowledge of how to use Windows 28.8 Kbps or faster modem (56 kbps recommended) 28.8 Kbps or faster Internet connection: You pay your Internet Service Provider, not PC Quote, for this connection. Make sure your Internet account is for unlimited access, because you're going to want to use PC Quote 6.0 a lot. Microsoft Internet Explorer v 3.02 or newer is required to use PC Quote 6.0's Web Window feature. 32-bit Microsoft Winsock or Microsoft Winsock compliant TCP/IP software (this comes with Windows 95 or is free from your ISP). Don't be scared! We know this sounds technical, but it's really not. It relates to your Internet connection. Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) gives you free software that lets your PC talk to the Internet. Most ISPs give you software that's Microsoft Winsock compliant, because Windows 95 and Windows NT come with 32-bit Microsoft Winsock (what a surprise). Some ISPs, however, supply software that installs a different version of Winsock (16-bit, for instance) that may not be compatible with PC Quote 6.0. Just ask your ISP if their software uses 32-bit Microsoft Winsock or something fully compatible. If they say no, you'll need a different ISP to use PC Quote 6.0.
