Well they need rallies to keep the premium up on the options, The trick is to buy them when the stock looks dead and sell just after the rallier before the premium dies. The trick is also to make sure you dont fall into the rallies and buy more than you can loose. But with VVUS, doing a straddle will always make you money no matter what.

Yesterday showed a lot of folks what the manipulators could do, so volume was way down today, as nobody wanted to get eaten...>>

I couldn't agree more. I have seen this happen too many times in certain stocks.
