TLC,

I use Quotes Plus has a scriptable scanner that produces text file output. They have a new version that I am probably going to update to. Starting my own at home CAM business starting this week by force of a parting of ways with my employer. I am also thinking of opening a MBTrader account.

If you wish a list PM me your parameters and give back an output.

TLC, if you are a QuotesPlus2 user, you can easily create an output file with symbol, range-points, range-% and then import it into a spreadsheet where you can sort on %-column. QP2 is only $50 plus $19/month for the end-of-day data feed.

BTW, you can also select issues based upon the issue meeting other criteria in addition to the range you encounter each day. For example (off the top of my head), you could find all issues over $10 where the last 10-day avg-close is greater than the prior 30 days' average and where the avg range% for the last 10 days is greater than the prior 30 days by at least 20%, and where today's range % is at least 50% greater than the last 10-day average. This would show issues which are generally up for the last week or so and which have become volatile in relation to the earlier time, and where today's range is at least 50% greater than the last 10-day average. (It's going whacko -- reversal pending?)

HEY! I think I'll program this in and see what issues pop up!
