Thanks for your kind words. <g> And welcome to the thread and SI. I very much encourage you to join. While SI has plenty of idiotic posts, mindless bosterism, and calculated attempts to move things up and down, it also has a whole lot of really useful posts. And some really great ones. Plus lots of importation & filtering of information from elsewhere, and good links. After a while it gets pretty easy to find what's good and spend very little time on what isn't. SI has better navigation tools for this than any other stock message forum, to my knowledge. I also think SI is by far the best place on the Net to talk stocks and exchange info. Way better, generally, than AOL Fools or Fools on the Web, not to mention Yahoo's message boards, seems to me. Although there are a couple of AOL threads I find invaluable. And I do like the Motley Web site for various things. Yahoo message boards are a last resort. <g> After a while you get to know people on SI. The ability to bookmark people and follow what turns them on in areas you may not have yet discovered is really great. That came in about six or nine months ago, I think. Although I got in for quite a bit lower than they want now, I think for anyone who has either a fair amount of money invested (for them), or spends a fair amount of time trying to make his/her money grow, it is some of the best investment research money spent. (theStreet.com at 6.95/mo and the WSJ & Barrons online and searchable for $50/yr are pretty good too). IMHO. After all, in olden days (2-3 years ago) we had to subscribe to Forbes, Business Week, Fortune, WSJ, Barrons and maybe some newsletters or mags such as Smart Money to feel we were even starting to mine investment ideas. No more. Its on the Web, and usually free. Ain't it great. [Actually, I think the days of free mag subscriptions on the Web are numbered. Probably should say months are numbered, but I'll be real surprised if three years from now you can get anywhere near as many traditional print mags for free on the Web. Way more print mags on the Web, but they'll want at least some dinneros. 'Course we'll be getting gobs of new stuff free, or real low cost by then as well. Right??] What you think? See ya round. <gg> Doug
