worked with Tech support same day but end result was to have technician call us and make appointment to come and fix it

Was this someone at best buy or did you call CPQ? If it was CPQ, send me a private message with the details and I will send it to a few select folks at CPQ and see if we can light a fire.

Ma'm, I wouldn't waste another minute with this lemon computer. Take it today to Best Buy and demand your money back or another computer (if you want to take that chance). In my office we had a similar experience with the purchase of a new CPQ. One year later I ordered a Gateway and I can't begin to tell you what a great experience I've had with Gateway technical support. Know that I own CPQ shares and it is stories like these that really make me angry. CPQ and the people they get to sell their products must do a better job.
I'm serious, take it back today.
Good luck.
Susanne.

CPQattack,

RE: Presario would not turn on

I have had several PCs that did this. No fan,
no LEDs, nothing. A little snooping around
and I found that there is a switch on the
power supply to select US or Overseas power
(110V or 220V). If the switch is flicked
to the 230V setting the PC will behave as if
it is not even plugged into the wall.

Easy to check, let me know.DS
