Hey Pluvey, do you know what really bothers me about someone like you? You think that everything has to be logical, that there is a reason for everything and that you can figure out that something - your way through DD. Take it from me you are wrong here and I say this because I have much more experience, insight and gut feelings about this one. I also have a fairly large long position - somewhat hedged, people who know me know, that I usually do not take large positions at this stage of my life unless I were extremely confident, almost certain. Although I will never say 100% as you have. There is a very good chance that this particular rumor will not happen, however that does not diminish the true value of the company, which will eventually be determined by the expertise and business acumen of certain individuals who are either in control, or who are in a position of advising those in control. As there is absolutely no question that this company has raised hundreds of millions of dollars conventionally, since its inception - a fact that cannot be overlooked from my point of view and the fact that Smart money did invest and continues to is confirmation, notwithstanding your continued ranting about Rubenstein and other Board Members liquidating ( misleading as you are not privy, as to their reasons, motives or present positions). If you have spoken to Rubenstein or other Board Members please do enlighten us. All you can do is speculate as to their actions, if your motives are pure, next time inform us that you are SPECULATING when you opine. Since you let the cat out of the bag and divulged your experience re; years you have been an investor, I must set you straight for once and for all. You say your an investor for 18 yrs, if that is qualifications for knowing what the future will bring I'm an investor for almost 40 yrs.- what does that do for me. I have also retired from my many business ventures at the age of 49 and for the past seven years living oceanfront in Florida, traveling all over the world when ever I please, not having to live on a budget, you know living the good life. Occasionally I trade, always investing, (when not traveling) just for the hell of it, continuing to be a substantial tax payer and happy to be - enough said about me. Now about you, listening to you upsets me, and makes my blood boil - you brag about your so called 100% record and of your infallibility in investing, you must learn to control and avoid this sought of self embellishment, especially in front of strangers, however that is probably the only way you can, blow your own horn ~ anonymously. How misguided and short sighted of you to be messing around with shorting a company that just might be bought out at almost double its present price - even though its just a rumor, there are so many other companies to short who are in real trouble why pick this one. How ridiculous and amateurish of you, I sincerely hope your not a broker or financial advisor, if you are you should be tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail. Unfortunately, I do believe you are - probably the type that works in one of those so called boiler room operations, taking advantage of the ignorant, greedy investor, who's out to make a quick buck. I am new here, at S.I. -just thought I would give all you lurkers and posters the opportunity to hear from a seasoned, experienced, successful individual who thinks positive 99% of the time, I first purchased SRCM almost 2yrs ago my lowest price 4 3/4 and up, basis 6.40, sitting on sizable gains long term, however to protect a part of that gain I did what many prudent investors did sold some calls and bought some puts about half my position. Why? because unlike Pluvy I am never 100% sure on anything. P.S. Sorry for boring everybody with a little of my Bio, I had to, so that all could have the benefit and the understanding of where I'm coming from in order to assess who makes more sense ~ sHORT pLUVEY or CRAP SHOOTER.......
