there has obviously not been any earnings warning specifically addressing operating income. Earlier, IR indicated that the company expected to meet .20/share (pre-Symbios-breakup). Can we assume that they would have warned (apart from warning about the breakup-charge of roughly USD 70 M) if they expected operating income to be less than .20? Or would that be helpless losers clinging to a straw?

BTW, I must say, I find this thread very amusing. I have already learnt a lot about how not to invest in America. And Adaptec has saved me a lot of taxes. Both the German Ministry of Finance and I would like this to stop.
