I think that there are several "free" fixes available on the Internet. Viasoft's version being provided for free is a Marketing ploy to make those who are skeptical of the problem aware that they really do have a hardware problem, that Viasoft has tools that can fix it, and that they also have tools to fix the software portion of the problem. The BIOS problem is just a minuscule tip of the iceberg. The rest of the Viasoft software solution is quite comprehensive, and has been getting a lot of interest from major corporations. As usual, there's no such thing as a free lunch !! Regards, TED
