Dear Subscriber, Objective Communications Shows Strong Gains OBJECTIVE COMMUNICATIONS, INC. (OCOM) issued the following press release on Dow Jones News Services earlier today. The text of the release follows: NEW YORK (Dow Jones) --After languishing for several weeks in the mid-single-digit range, Objective Communications, Inc. (OCOM) shares staged a move higher Monday. Since July 2, when the company said that delays in some features of its VidPhone video-conferencing system made it unlikely it would recognize any revenue in the second quarter, the stock has hovered around 5 ot 6. the shares recently were trading at 8 3/ 32, up 1 29/32, or 30.8%, on volume of 334,400 shares. The bump is modest when one looks back to September 1997, when Objective hit a high of 38 1/4 , but nonetheless marks an improvement from the stock's recent doldrums. While neither analysts nor a company spokeswoman could point to a specific impetus for the movement, they did suggest the stock could be staging a recovery. For one thing, the VidPhone issues could soon be resloved. James Bunker, Objective Communications' new acting president and chief executive, said he is expecting the VidPhone to have all its features integrated shortly and expects the product to be ready for shipment during the third quarter. "My personal direction for the next month is to get the products to where they ought to be and some happy customers and the rest will follow," Bunker said. -Nancy Beilles; 201-938-5393 (END) DOW JONES NEWS 07-20-98 12:34 pm --------------------------------------------------------------------- The Stock Genie is an independent electronic publication providing information on selected public companies.
