I think it's taken out of context. It should've been, "Eric wanted to focus his contact with strategic ....., and Microsoft". It'll be interesting to see his move regarding Microsoft. However, since he's well known for being a strategist, it might give us a hint at the real reasons why the other two execs from PalmPilot left.

Eric will never take Microsoft lightly; he's been there before.

W F, just off my mind, coms and msft are co-operating in their development of some sort of small business NT based networking gears standards and hardwares. I haven't heard of other partnership.

But microsoft is one real sneaky company. She will go to bed with almost anybody and once they learned what they need, they'll kick her partner off the bed ! That's what happened to Sybase and numerous other companies.

Also, about a month or so ago, it was mentioned that
MSFT put specific drivers in the Windows 98 that will
work with 3Com x2 56K modems. This should make the
56k modem easier to install.
