Re: "how MrB ever found that photo"

Remember the radical group that was jailed immediately following Woodstock?

Well, there was a photojournalist who thought it would make a great story. He took pictures, wrote it all up, and turned it in.

Unfortunately, there was more pressing news on the day his byline was to be published.

So, the photo was stored in the back room at the newspaper office.

Until recently, that is. The newspaper went out of business and sold all their "stuff" to the highest bidder. An antique dealer bought the assets, and resold them as antiques.

MrB found the photo during one of his many antique shopping binges. He only paid $0.37 for it. Including tax.

Pretty good deal, huh?

Kerry,

It was 1969 in Woodstock, New York. I'll tell you some trivia. I had a brand new Mercury Cougar - electric blue with a white vinyl hardtop and white vinyl interior, V8! <ggg> On the way from Texas to NY, the water from the air conditioner shorted out the radio. We nearly died - no radio. Anyway, when we were flying down the road thru Tenn, the radio must have dried out, because suddenly it blared out!!! I skidded to a stop on the side of the road as Walter Cronkite announced what had just been said on the moon, the "one small step for man, one giant step for mankind" statement! It was as though GOD had boomed thru that radio to us - all the way from the moon! What a rush! It was July 20, 1969!
