He also buys foreclosures and other distressed property. Some of the most successful real estate investors I have worked with or some I know about do it by buying distressed properties.

Sam Zell is one that comes to mind. A multi-billionaire.

Nothing at all wrong with that-- get property cheap.

They are pure turn-around artists and bargain hunters.

I look for distressed property too-- you can make a killing.
