Well, I agree that property can go pennies on the dollar. If it really is pennies on the dollar, then an immediate flip would have been what most people would do. But if in fact the property is really just pennies on the nickel, a more imaginative approach like doing a reverse merger to boost its value through common stock leveraging might be a way of flipping the property.

Think about it for a moment. You could go in and buy some properties at low prices, never mind that it may indeed be worth only what you are paying for it, trade it for say 50M shares of a public shell corp, create some hype, get some guys to front for you, sell the shares out, and walk away. A flip with some real leverage. Never mind the public share holders. I would say the restriction covenants on those MTEI shares are looking more interesting to know about.

Now this may not be what is going on with MTEI at all. I am just throwing out a possibility, based on the sketchy information that I have seen to date. But it is food for thought.

I am going to do a little more research on Marc Tow. I think his background is likely a key to understanding what kind of a deal we have here.
