If you have specific issues that you would like
to vote on at the Annual General Meeting,
there is a certain period of time you have
to submit them as addenda to the agenda
if I'm not mistaken.
I have seen this in operation at other
AGMs; failing that, if it's simply a
matter of asking questions, write them
down days before the meeting, talk about
them with the other SI folks so there is
no duplication and wasting of time at the
meeting and then STEP UP TO THE MIKE,,,,,
NO, RUN TO THE MIKE,,,,ERRRRR,,,RUN
MIKEY RUN! Anyway, you get my point;
it isn't often we get to question Michael
Dell in an open forum and we must make
optimal use of the Q&A session at any
and all AGMs.

Good morning Bachman,

That's quite an impressive array of important questions. Perhaps we should send a letter to IR asking the company to address these and other issues. Or perhaps we could have you accredited as a securities analyst and you could meet directly with the brass. I'm sure you would ask much more penetrating questions than the bulk of "analysts" covering Dell.

CTC

Great questions Bachman.

If given a chance I might have also asked:-

What is Dell's marketing strategy in China??? Do you think the 'direct model' will work in china to any degree of satisfaction considering the weakness in infrastructure??

3) Why do you think that DELL will be able to compete effectively with ACER in that market?

Though Acer has a formidable presence in China I think the one to watch for is Legend Computers (a domestic manufacturer) and of course your 'road-side assemblers'.Just a thought I could be wrong.

3,

In preparation for next year, the questions should be compiled and submitted to the DELL team, to allow them to consider their answers. It is sometime very difficult to answer these kinds of 'in depth' questions without research. WE (as a group) must be fair to DELL.

I will plan to make the trip next year if at all possible. I feel that if we were represented as a 'group' (in T-shirts - natch') large enough to be 'recognized by the most casual observer' and having submitted carefully thought out questions, we might get 'printed' replies, and DELL would also know that there were a 'group of stockholders' that are truly concerned about the various operations of the company.

The list of questions that you had was definitely a good start, and I think that the list should be forwarded to DELLs PR department as having been of general interest to the posters on the SI thread.

Comments?

Regards,

Ken
