First, in response to "Raptech," I think that you're right, and occasionally there is an intelligent post on SI.Also, I am the first to admit that I don't understand the technical stuff involved in disk drives(or other computer components for that matter) nearly as well as many people out there. After many months of reading these posts, however, I believe that 1)Most people on here are inherently bullish on 'High-Tech,' and Seagate in particular, and see only the positive twist on every piece of news (these people have gotten killed since $56)and 2) They fail to see the big picture of the DD Industry and the Computer Industry.

Now in response to "Techmeister", SEG is in fact in an uptrend, but I don't think the real resistance in until 28 1/2-29, which were the highs in April, and will perhaps even coincide with the upside of a shorter-term up-trend channel if it continues for a few more days.On the downside, I think any pull-back would likely hold at 23, the low close about two weeks ago.

For any of you who follow analysts' advise, look at Bear Stearn's comments, which has nailed this stock for years. They like the company, with Al Shugart and the advantages of vertical integration, but are down on the commodity-like business, which likely won't improve for quite some time, and perhaps never to the extent it has enjoyed in the past.
