COMPUTER CODE CRAKED IN RECORD TIME...ARMED WITH A CUSTOM BUILT COMPUTER WORTH LESS THAN $250,000, CODE-BREAKERS CRACKED A WIDELY USED METHOD FOR SCRAMBLING SENSATIVE ELECTRONIC DATA IN LESS THAN THREE DAYS.

THIS ALERTED THE FINANCIAL INDUSTRY, WHICH USES ENCRYPTION TO PROTECT RECORDS OF CREDIT CARD TRANSACTIONS AND BANK TRANSFERS.

THIS ISN'T DEVASTATING, BUT IT'S RESULTING IN CALLS FROM CEO'S ALL OVER THE U.S.

This isn't the type of news I wanted to wake up to this morning when I read my morning paper. I hope this is just more ignorant reporting from the writer of this story.

THE BREAKTHROUGH ATTEMPT TESTED 88 BILLION POSSIBLE COMBINATIONS EVERY SECOND FOR 56 HOURS BEFORE SUCCESS.
