Now why should anyone want to move away from Reaganomics? Even Rubin wants Japan to embrace it. It is your gods who have failed and you have only a last few totalitarian regimes to repair to.

Inflation was beaten in 1982. Booba's impact on the economy has been negligible - a negative to be sure, but all in all a relatively minor one. Sure, Booba got his one big tax increase through in 1993 and gets far too much for wasteful spending, but since the late fall of 1994 the budget and its influence on the economy has been under the control of a Republican Congress. Remember, Clinton opposed the efforts to balance the budget, and signed on only after the Reps had prevailed over the stiff resistance of the Dems and their impotent leader.

This has all been reflected in the stock market, which vastly accelerated its ascent once the Dems lost control.

Check it out, even you can know something that's true.

Bateman,
You are a political idiot. Unfortunately, people with your level of "political education" are a major problem in the country today. Your political ideas were probably shaped by watching CNN, NBC, CBS, or ABC. (perhaps, only sparingly at that) You are more than willing to believe the "official" spin. Of course, that is what the Clintonistas want you to believe. Too bad, this is so easy for you.
