Ken, I scan in the am using RTTrader for realtime (2-5min lag at open). I also scan after hours on the days trades using Quotes Plus. I have found so far (last two months) it is better to find a dozen or so "rolling" stocks with good fundamentals play the bottom and ride up the short covering. I reccomend looking at a sector your are familar with or use QP to find them....

But what do I know today is the first real day of my "Trading for a Living" with other income...

I'm not doing anything elaborate. When I said I was scanning my charts, I just meant that I am just loading one chart after another from my data base. There is software available to automate the process but I haven't purchased it yet so I do everything the hard way.
