Hi Steve. At the last cc, the Mxi was mentioned in that it was "taped out" (or so???). How many revisions are there usually before a cpu sees production? Most people are attributing the delay in tape out (supposed to be Q4 last year?) to the addition of 3DNow! instructions. Do you think anything else will be different?

Since this is behind schedule and with intc's Celeron derivatives coming on soon, do you still think it will offer a performance lead over Mendecino/Dixon cpus?

Steve,

Could you please give us to the best of your knowledge the various names of the processors. There are so many I forget which applies to the MII and which applies to PCOAC. We got Mxi, cayenne, and jalapeno.

Also what do you think of AMD. It appears they are distancing themselves from IBM. It doesn't appear they are going to get their copper technology from them nor will they use them as a fab partner. It appears that IBM may have some excess fab capacity as a result. My guess is that they aren't happy doing business with AMD.

And what do you think of the recent 2 point ris from the 52 week low. Do you think that it is due to the fab coming online or the first samples of Mxi look good.

Your thoughts would be appreciated
Kevin
