So are you saying that there are two balance sheet line items---deferred revenue and long term deferred revenue? This is new, right?

With respect to the project being usable, do you mean that they are actually able to use the software? If so, then no revenue could ever be booked when software was sold so I think I must be misunderstanding your statement.

I never thought I'd see the day when I would ever want to read a FASB or SOP or whatever it's now called but I think I might actually read up on this topic since it's so critical in this sector and I really don't know what all the new rules are. But then again when I think about how much I used to hate reading these things maybe I'll rethink this.

Just in case I change my mind, does anyone know if there's a FASB website where I can get this?
