Have been thinking about this. And have decided to vote on the side of the poor ignorant guy. He obviously had some idea that his trunk was worth a lot and he called a renowned name in the field to come look at it. I just bet that guy was charming as hell. 87,000 probably sounded like a lot of money to Pickett. How was he to know that the guy was scamming him?
Now, of course, were he a suspicious, worldly sceptic, who knew that everyone is out for himself ands screw you and your, he would have been sophisticated enough to have gotten a second opinion, gotten a bidding war going, told the famous dealer thanks and I'll call you.
I don't know about the legal issues, but I do know that that dealer TOOK that man, and knew damn well he was doing it, and THAT ISN"T NICE!
Grapeshot enema sounds good to me.
