Denver, you sound like the RBOC engineer trying to sell me ISDN last week,he said that's all I would ever need. ADSL is EDSEL anyway you look at it,its a bandaid solution to a real problem. VDSL needs FTTC,you can't run ADSL over fiber,so they are incompatable. Your angle is twisted pair, mine is fiber optics, the market will dictate, but the bigger pipe is fiber, though they too have some problems which are being overcome. You are leaning against the winds of change, watch out the Tsunami of fiber is going is going to choke you with a copper line.Theoretical bandwidths? Whose? Copper, you must be joking,ADSL has trouble with new lines, old lines, they need just right lines like the little pigs of RBOCS.

What do you see for the areas of the world that have no copper as well as fiber ? What can the Wireless World provide as a solution to provide voice , video and Internet services ? Have you ever worked with Wireless ? I ask these questions because most of the World has never made a telephone call so , " The Last Mile " , in Wireless is and will remain the largest telecommunications market of all. Your views in this area will be appreciated.
