I won't deny you make some good points. I think the wildcard is the OEM market for Banshee. The more I think about it, and the more I read, I cannot imagine why the Banshee won't take over the OEM market. Dell, Gateway, Micron, Compaq etc, should wan to offer its buyers a card that has outstanding 2D performance plus runs EVERY 3D game available. The remarks of Unreal's creators this past weekend just convinced me that Banshee has to be a success.

Your points about _hoping_ that this stock will somehow recover in the short term are well made

HOWEVER

Your advice that everyone sell all of their holdings is ludicrous and damaging to your credibility. Someone as well meaning and well spoken as you are should know that everyone has different investing goals and time horizons. While your conclusions may make sense for your goals and time horizons, it does not fit mine. Blanket statements of any kind - bull, bear, long, short, etc. - are never applicable to everyone ("he says in a blanket manner." ;-). Before earnings, similar statements on the other end of the spectrum got lots of people in over their head, don't repeat the mistake in the other direction.

Please qualify your previous post with a description of the investment goals and time horizon to which you think it is applicable.

Chip

Sun Tzu,

I'm glad that you included in your post that you were not short. The otherwise naive reader might note that you only joined as a trial member on the 15th (the night earnings were reported), posted benign to increasingly negative comments on the company and culminating, as of this post with a hard sell, no pun intended, to sell one TDFX shares...one could have concluded you were a short. Thanks again for clearing that up.

I was particularly impressed with this post for it's strong appeal to the subjective emotions of the investor, Unlike your previous posts which tended towards subtle emphasis emphasis (paraphrasing) "slightly increasing expenses." Very nice shift.

I thought at first, that you had placed a lot of non-reusable effort in your post, but here I was wrong. I quick search and replace of "TDFX" to "CHKPF" or "RMBS" a couple of number changes to make it appropriate for those share values and your good to go. One minor thing you need to touch up on is the composition was clearly done outside of SI, probably a saved file, and you lost some of the formatting with the copy/paste.

In closing I noted your favorite quote: "It is better to reign in Hell, than serve in Heaven."

Good luck in your endeavors.
Jim
