jlallen,
Here is one that we might put into the "speculation" category, but if these items are proved out shortly, it will help explain some of Clinton's behavior.

ON PUTNAM: 'Cocaine In the White House'

George Putnam show
7-20-98 Doug from Upland

In a story that I'm certain would shock many of us (NOT!), a caller to the Putnam show claimed that he is working on the story of Bill Clinton and cocaine in the oval office.

Jack Christy, of USA Network, called in to the show and said that he had information from his sources and was working on the story. He mentioned FreeRepublic. I met Jack a few years ago at an event in Los Angeles where we met Chris Ruddy, Reed Irvine, Patrick Knowlton, George Putnam and others.

Part of the story is that Monica Lewinsky had a special pass, held by few people, which allowed her to bring packages into the White House without being searched.

Larry Klayman was on Putnam earlier and here are his highlights:

* Mac McClarty is scheduled for an August 6th deposition.
* Stephanopolous will be back for another depo -- the judge was very unhappy with him and sent him back to look for his documents.
* Bruce Lindsey will be subpoenaed for both Filegate and the Dolly Kyle Browning lawsuit.
* According to Larry, Filegate is even worse than he thought - they illegally pulled files on Linda Tripp, Kathleen Willey and Monica Lewinsky. It has been an illegal and systematic scheme to use taxpayer money to get info on private citizens and use that info against them if they posed a threat. It is an enormous violation of privacy rights.
* There will be major revelations in Klayman's lawsuits and he believes that Democrats will be relieved -- they want Clinton out of there. Larry does not, however, want to settle for that. He wants Clinton charged and, if convicted, sent to jail. Filegate will be the straw that broke the camel's back and Clinton may be gone within the year.
* Larry said that Al Gore was involved in illegal fundraising and may very well be involved in Filegate.

jlallen,
I found another:

Is It Cocaine?

Ok, I admit at the beginning of this post that this is entirely circumstantial, but follow the thread of thought..

#1. Roger Clinton, Bill's brother, a convicted cocaine dealer, is caught on tape at his arrest saying, "You should see my brother. He has a nose like a vacuum cleaner.

#2. Proven asset Gary Aldrich writes of drug use in WH, and especially prevalent use and dealing among incoming appointees.

#3. Sharlene Wilson talks at length about Clinton's cocaine use.

#4. Clintons insisted drug use was not bar for security clearance to work in WH.

#5. Clinton still refuses to release any medical records, despite every other presidential candidate in history having done so. There is a price to be paid for not doing so. Why pay the price?

#6. Uncontrolled WH access by Monica Lewinski and others. ML is from a part of the world and generation where cocaine use is considered socially acceptable, if not socially required!

#7. The efforts WH went to prohibit USSS testimony. Why was that so important? Again a price to be paid. Why?

#8. Admission of previous drug use. (Admit the little offense to divert attention from the major one.)

The current buzz is that no matter how bad the ML problem, short of whips and chains, it won't cost him his job. Why are they still fighting so hard? Is there something much worse that they don't want out?

Know it seems a little far-fetched, but with this Prez, just how far-fetched is it!
