Mark... your still alive! The sentiment on this thread, as you know, has swung from one extreme to the other. I suspect that the pendulum has swung too far. SYSF is not a dead company, they simply didn't live-up to their hype and our hype and wishful thinking. Much of the extreme negative comments on this thread is related to anger for being burned so badly (this includes me). In a more general sense, I think everyone ought to study this thread over the past two years and correlate that with what has happened to this company. The bottom line is that although many people offered informed technical information, no one had the slightest idea about the future of this company (except perhaps Mark Brophy). I've learned from this that information on threads are absolutely useless and more often counterproductive regarding investment advice. Although I read threads, I haven't gotten single piece of useful investment advice. There is a powerful psychology to threads that make them dangerous; we buy a stock and then join a group of fellow cheerleaders. The euphoria from the stands feels reassuring but doesn't have anything to do with what is going on on the field. Threads, on the other hand are very useful for learning technical information about companies and their competitors (that's why I still read them). Regarding Mark Brophy negative comments, his predictions turned out to be generally correct, but it is not at all clear to me that his opinions were based on better information or more cogent analysis. Rather, any naysayer, would have looked brilliant in retrospect on this thread.
