Scott's link and answer is exactly why I equated trader as daytrader - from all that I've seen (and have not really taken the issue apart yet) true daytrading will qualify for trader status. Nice write up, Scott!

Lisa, You'll have to do a bang up job of surrogate CNBC reporting - I'm cableless today. AND that includes the draining and adding liquidity thing that I have become taken with but dont know how to apply yet.

As for today, I think we have established that we are almost, if not out of the trand channel that was established recently. Perhaps a short term down, and then back up to new highs. My 2cents worth.

Lisa,

MARIA said "VERY STRONG RALLY". What amazes me is when is she going to realise that has been wrong most of the time, and decide to tone her comments down.

My issue is not just MARIA but on whole the MEDIA. One thing that I have noticed is rarely does the MEDIA or the analyst interview, mentioned that the correction in 97 actually started in early AUGUST not OCTOBER. The peak was reached around AUG 5 at about 8300 and then a pullback of about 600-700 points, then a rally in SEPT to take the DOW back to around 8200 in OCT.
