Spoke to a gentleman at USDI yesterday and he told me that the Company is getting into or affiliating with a Company that is into VDMA (virtual division multiple access) this means that the portable hand held receiver is also a transmitter and it works like cellular but without the need of towers, at first the service will be limited but as more phones are sold coverage will be nationwide. My phone link was not the best (hard to hear at times) but I think that I got the gist of the conversation correct. Would appreciate it if someone else would call USDI to verify.
