--> NITE seems to have a large short position also

I have been daytrading NAVR both on Monday and Tuesday. So yes, I am interested in it. But, I believe my analysis of the stock as a day trading vehicle has been correct. Does it really matter that it went to 9 3/8 to a long term investor if it closes down in the 7's?

It is a traders paradise until the financials get clarified. The under-writers report kindly posted by Tokyomex was very useful. It sheds some light on how the company is planning to get out of its financial problems: spin off Netradio as a separate publicly traded company. This way their core business is not hurt by the Internet venture and their venture gets the capital it needs to market against CDNOW and K-TEL. Notice the report stated CDNOW gets more hits than Netradio because they have more aggressively (and expensively) marketed their site. So Net Radio is in a very competitive space already.

Now think of this: With Netradio becoming a separate company with its own trading symbol, where is the upside to NAVR other than a distributer? NAVR is one of the smaller distributers when compared to Ingram, PC Warehouse, Tech Data, Inacom, or Microage. Maybe that's why you are seeing NITE shorts increasing.
