I installed Communicator 4.5 on a 200 mhz with win 95 and it works like a charm. As usual, NSCP provides extremely easy download and install. Much easier than anything I have ever encountered with a MSFT product. I agree with other comments that NSCP NetCenter should have better investor programs, such as portfolios, etc. I believe I read that My Netscape will provide these options, much as My Yahoo does. Good luck to all.

I installed 4.5 beta on my 266 cyrix. No problem.

Be sure to turn all programs off, before installing Netscape 4.5.

Go NSCP!!!

I recently bought a Dell 400 but told Dell not to install IE4 because I planned to use the Netscape Browser. The reason is once IE4 is loaded, Netscape will not work well with it. This has been my personal experience. Also, if you try to remove IE4, the potential for a crash arises which I experienced. I don't know why this happens.

What I do know is that on my Dell 400, there is only IE3 which is inactive. That's how I ordered it from Dell. Gateway would not sell me a 400 using Win 95 with IE4 removed.

Finally, for those of you that have Netscape on Win 95 and are thinking about upgrading to Win 98....you should think twice. you could get yourself in some "big doodoo"

I had a similar experience with ver 4.05 and '95 on a 266mhz PII Notebook. Turns out problem was '95 and IE setup. I dumped '95 in favor of NT 4.0, trashed IE and installed Netscape. Result is simply wonderful..... very stable, faster, and fun to work with. Even better now since I upgraded to 4.5Beta.
