Stock Bull, forgive me if I misinterpreted your post, but I was responding to this:

Falling ASP's are not in the universe of perfection...at least not with Wall Street.

Now I will tell you my theory about why prices fell as much as they did today. Remember that I have continuously warned about the musical chairs nature of momentum investing. That is exactly what we have seen through Friday in Dell. It has been fueled by silly hype about splits. Splits add no value to a company, but lately they have been attracting momentum investors to large cap issues. But true to their lemming-like nature, momentum investors exit in large rodent packs as soon as the price of a stock shows some slippage. You can see this almost daily with the network portal stocks.

So what happened today was in large part due to the unreasonable runup on no news that we had last week. Greenspan was the trigger. This was a correction waiting to happen.

TTFN,
CTC
