Hi Dave,
"Funny how people will blindly follow a MACD curve turning up or down, but are unwilling to look at a method that doesn't use a chart. <ggg>"

Yes, and astrology and numerology have strong followings, too! What most non-AIMers miss is that AIM is a "technically efficient" method of managing an account. As my motto says, "Buy from the Scared and Sell to the Greedy!" The weak hands provide us with low priced inventory for our warehouses and then race back to buy back our holdings when the "charts" look right. Over and over, ad nauseum - all the way to the bank!!

The hardest part of any investment method is probably in the timing of the initial investment. I've used hypothetical AIM accounts to help me to "time" my starting point. Watch a stock or fund until AIM gets busy buying and then make my initial AIM investment. Then let AIM work its show. This has helped, but is far from perfect. Still, it's probably better than blind luck.

Best regards, Tom

Dave, I'm stepping up to the plate on the Fidelity Select Energy Service sector fund. Pumped in another $400 worth on 7/14, and AIM had me pump in another $330 on the 23rd. Now, with my new numbers entered into the Newport program, they want me to drill in another $900 at these levels. I say, "Damn the torpedos, full speed ahead!" As we all know, the oil drillers are not going to disappear. However, it may be a while before I again realize the profit I once had in this incredible sector fund!

Sincerely,
RFH
