Just wanted to say that I disagree with your assessment of Alan's tenure and skillful guidance of the economy over the last 10 years. First, Clinton can't fire Greenspan, he could have not endorsed him for his renewal term but he can't really get rid of him. Secondly, you/we are enjoying a very long period of price stability and low unemployment because of Greenspan's stewardship. If Greenspan weren't as vigilant and skillful, what do you think the economy would look like today? You don't like 5.4% GDP growth with low inflation, rising wages and productivity, appreciating assets, low interest rates, job growth and price stability? Greenspan is responsible for our growth in standard of living.
