Rill,

According to your figures, the 4 week moving average of bulls + bears is more than 5 points lower that this week's 70% figure. Is this growing discrepancy significant? Has the flag on the mailbox tripped to alert us that perhaps a 10% correction has arrived? --Alan

Rillinois: Thank you for once again graciously posting the sentiment
numbers from Investors' Intelligence which reveal, once again, that
bullish sentiment has flashed the red 70% danger signal, not seen
since the last correction. Notably, Brinker did not pay homage to
the four week moving average as a precursor to that "nasty little
correction" of late April/May. At that time, to recall it, Brinker
opined that he was little surprised that a single weekly bullish
reading above 70%, in actuality 70.1%, had presaged a rather
steep, albeit short-lived, downdraft in the public markets.
