Allan, Re: Is this growing discrepancy significant? I'm not aware of any studies relating to growing discrepancies between the 4-week MA and the current week's figure, sorry. However, you might observe that the discrepancy is due to the sudden jump in bulls the last four weeks (44.9%...47.1%...52.0%...54.3%) and drop in bears (31.4%...30.6%...24.0%...23.3%). This has been an unusually quick shift in sentiment. Has the flag on the mailbox tripped to alert us that perhaps a 10% correction has arrived? I believe the figure Bob considers is whether the 4-week MA is above the 70% mark. But I would agree that sentiment is reaching the levels that usually bring on a correction of some sort.
