Average analyst estimate for quarter ending 9/98 fell from 0.16 to 0.12 in the past four weeks. Estimates range from 0.11 to 0.15.

Average analyst estimate for quarter ending 12/98 fell from 0.21 to 0.17 in the past four weeks. Estimates range from 0.15 to 0.19.

Average analyst estimate for FY ending 12/98 fell from 0.58 to 0.49 in the past four weeks. Estimates range from 0.45 to 0.58.

Average analyst estimate for FY ending 12/99 fell from 0.86 to 0.67 in the past four weeks. Estimates range from 0.58 to 0.80.

I also count four analysts who have not issued an updated opinion since HRBC made its earnings preannouncement on July 7, although they may have revised their earnings estimates. These four analysts are from Pacific Growth Equities, Robinson-Humhrey, Goldman Sachs, and Prudential.

If you want any more details, I might be able to dig them up. As far as the Y2K issue, HRBC stated in its last 10-K that they acknowledged the problem, but said they did not expect it to impact the company in any material way. I'll see if I can find anything more on that.
