Ted, US West has always been a big buddy with cisco so it's not surprising for them to use netspeed adsl modems. I'm glad they still use coms' nic. Is it that the adsl modem connect to the ethernet card in the PC for the whole setup to work ? Is it interesting that the regular phone modem does not need an ethernet card to work ?

In your setup, do you need another box to split the signal into the phone ? I think coms' adsl modems are splitter-less and in the long run could be more competitive than the netspeed modems.

US West is just one phone company, but there are literally hundreds of phone companies in the world so it's a big enough pot for everybody with good products in the long run.
