Years ago (late 92 or first half of 93), the press reported that hundreds of WH appointees did not have any security clearance or were late in filing for one. "Mistakes were made" was the usual excuse ...

FBI cleared many of these but it was left with a 100+ list of people who could not pass drug tests and received temporary clearances pending drug treatment. Part of the deal is that the Nameless Hundred was supposed to under "spot checks" while following treatment.

Have not heard anything more since then. // CA
