Blow out earnings??? I don't think so. From briefing.com: 12:45 ET C/Net Inc (CNWK) 71 15/16 +7 13/16 (+12%): A closer look at company's results reveals that CNWK actually missed its qtr. Excluding a one-time $4.5 mln gain from the sell of its 20% stake in Vignette Corp, company reported a loss of approx. $0.24-$0.25 a share, which was wider than the loss of $0.21 expected by analysts. Information not easy to find. Scan down to the 19th paragraph of the press release, under the heading CNET Corporate. You can be sure that the stock wouldn't have soared 12% today if company had stated the true number as the headline of its press release, rather than "CNET, Inc. Reports Profitable Second Quarter Results"
