Those red spots are fires? Looks like Norman Wells and Yellowknife are hot hot hot. Like peppers on a taco. Caramba!

I guess landing on Dragon Lake is out. Damn. Have to claim jump you next year.

It doesn't look as smoky as Saskatchewan in 1982 but It's hard to tell as I didn't have comparison sat images then. We could not see the ground for 600 miles north of Buffalo narrow unless it was a red spot.
Lake Athabaska was not visible at all.

One good thing about all those fires. No mosquitoes.
