I recently had the opportunity to hire a new Treasury analyst for a high level position. This person would be reponsible for all treasury transactions, hedging etc.

HR presented with three candidates all of which had MBAs from either Harvard or Wharton. All of which also were currently working with us for the summer as treasury assissants.

I decided a test was appropriate - I placed an extra $2,000 in each of their bank accounts along with their regular pay deposit and waited for their reactions.

Susan immediately informed me that she had been overpaid. I carefully weighed her actions and felt that she was honest but reacted hastily.

Karen waited almost a week before she informed me of the error - This impressed me as she took time to examine the situation and eventually did the right thing.

Michelle never informed us of the error. As much as this was dishones I also felt she was aggresiive and took advantage of the situation.

Who did I hire
