LP, all you need to do is be realistic. I personally have great empathy for the folks at Amazon.com and wish their business the best. However, the stock price has gotten so far out of line that a lot of that wishing is because I hate to see good people get harmed because of foolish speculation that is going to be taken down. I understand some things about the internet and see an opportunity to make some money with that knowledge. To me it is simply a very good bet that has nothing to do with what is good about Amazon.com and the people that work there. The best thing for Amazon.com in the long run is to have a stable market for their stock - one that is not destroyed by the lack of confidence that the crash of a speculative bubble can cause. The best thing Amazon can wish for at this point is that the stock gradually moves downward to a sustainable level. The analysts that stupidly push unrealistic expectations (like Jamie) are doing the most harm to the company that they are also being paid huge sums to look out for. I hope her brokerage doesn't make hundreds of millions off of the speculators and to the damage of amazon.com's good name.

My bet is that Amazon.com will trend down over the next several weeks.
