-lemme get this straight---people are complaining because they think the new fence looks ugly? So where were they when there were all these problems that you needed support with?
Chances are-he'll focus on that part of it, too, and not the problems that led up to the fence.
Doesn't that piss you off????? People don't behave or make their kids behave or get involved and then they're mad when something is done, when people protect themselves. Did he say when the piece would come out?
You'll probably be the neighborhood ogre. IS the fence ugly???

Perhaps it could be suggested that fence might be taken down if a group of parents (and other adults) would set up a neighborhood watch type of thing and take turns hanging out at the spot seeing that things are okay and keeping an eye on the kids. Might provoke a "nevermind, it's not that ugly."
