<< if anybody wants to tell me how to embed web addresses in my postings feel free to post instructions on how to do it.>>

Just copy the address when you are looking at it in your browser. If you are manually typing it, make sure to put "http://" in front of the "www..." part.

Happy embedding,
Tim

Frank,

On the embedded Web addresses...you were close, just make sure that you have the entire URL, typed in including the http:// No special "codes" or steps just use the URL

www.washingtonpost.com/ (problem: no http;//)

washingtonpost.com (It works!)

Happy linking,
Jim

Hey Frank,

Lord knows I'm a TDFX bull, but let's not get too carried away here. Michael's article does a good job explaining why Intel's current offering, the i740, is a poor performer and won't be an immediate threat to the 3D accelerator market. However, Intel (like Microsoft) has rarely hit a home run with its first release of anything. Intel excels at learning from its mistakes and _eventually_ coming out with stuff that performs pretty well.

(No, I'm not long INTC! ;-)

Anyway, I remain confident that TDFX can continue to innovate enough to remain ahead of INTC for quite some time to come, but I am watching Intel very closely for _concrete_ info on what their next move will be:

- Improve the i740? (I expect at least one more attempt)
- Integrate graphics into the chipsets? (FOUL!)
- Buy someone. (E&S move was very interesting)
- Give up. (Not likely IMHO)

Chip

Frank, In Netscape just click anywhere on the location string. It should turn blue. Click copy under edit, and paste when you do your post. No typing necessary, and you get an exact copy. I don't know what the location is called on that other inferior browser. I forget it's name now.

BTW, clicking a second time on the location string allows you to edit it.
